Honeysuckle Removal LLC removes invasive honeysuckle to restore indigenous growth throughout the tristate area. We provide services to both residential and commercial landowners.
Introduced to the United States in the 1880s from Europe and Asia, honeysuckle was intended for ornamental use, wildlife food/cover, and erosion control. This deciduous shrub has over 180 species and can grow 6-20 feet in height. Out of the 180 species, the three most commonly found in the tristate area are Tartarian, Amur, and Morrow honeysuckle.
It is a common misconception that this sweet-tasting plant is harmless, when in fact it has a highly detrimental impact on our environment. Honeysuckle is extremely invasive, outcompetes native plants, decreases ecosystem biodiversity, diminishes soil nutrients, and in certain cases, it can result in erosion.
